On July 15, Health Canada took an important step to support Canadian pharmaceutical manufacturing with the announcement of a proposed pilot program to prioritize generic drug submissions involving domestic manufacturing.

CPMEA has submitted its recommendations for Canada’s 2026 Budget, calling for targeted federal action to strengthen domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing and protect Canada’s pharmaceutical sovereignty.
